Advanced International Scuba Diver
Advanced International certification requires that each applicant perform to the instructor's satisfaction, knowledge or skill with the following:
1. Knowledge - General
1a. Physics (Gas laws - Boyles, Charlies, Henry's, Dalton's; Properties of water - refraction, thermoclines, density, color loss, sound travel)
1b. Decompression (Haldane's law, Meyer-Overton hypothesis, cold water effects, work effects, altitude effects; flying after diving; use of several dive tables; safety margins; use of decompression meter; time and depth limits)
1c. Dangerous Marine Life (identification, first aid, injury prevention)
1d. Dive Fitness (frequency of diving, pool exercises, personal limitations, common student medical dangers)
